Published by August 8, 2022

I’ve always been open to inspiring others with things I’ve learned or that felt right to me. I hope to do that again now in an interview with Starter Story.

I’ve been running this site for 9 years now, and in that time I’ve gained some experience. In this very detailed interview, you’ll learn how it all started, which books inspired me, that picjumbo was originally a $1.99 photo site, what missteps I’ve made along the way, and so on and so forth.

Interview for Website Planet: picjumbo’s beginnings, how it evolved, and what is in the pipeline for the future

Published by August 4, 2022

Last week I was contacted by Marko from Website Planet and asked to talk about picjumbo. We talked about how it all started, what it’s all about, who picjumbo helps, and lightly touched on plans for the future.

My navigation was navigating me through narrow roads in quite mountainous region and in one curve I saw something interesting: handmade wooden bench directing to a beautiful countryside landscape.

I was so amazed that I immediately stopped the car and wanted to sit there and enjoy the view for the moment.

Infographic: 5 Amazing Years of picjumbo in Numbers

It was a little website when it all started 5 years ago. Just a few photos, just a few visitors a day… But everything has changed over time: people were writing about picjumbo on their blogs, big magazines started mentioning picjumbo in their articles and big companies like LG or Zhiyun started using picjumbo pictures in their physical products.

These 5 years were amazing and because I love numbers and statistics, and because I’m a designer, I created my biggest infographic ever: 5 years of picjumbo in numbers.
